Ides of march 2022

Ides of March is back with the 2022 event slated for Tuesday, March 15.
Clayton Museum of Ancient History is pleased to announce a new Ides of March event featuring its signature Mediterranean cuisine and a timely look backward that is relevant for today. This year's speaker is Dr. John Hosler, professor of military history at the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He will speak about Conflict and Pluralism in Medieval Jerusalem.
A noted expert on medieval warfare, Dr. Hosler's upcoming book, Jerusalem Falls: Seven Centuries of Conflict and Resolution in the Middle Ages, is set for publication by Yale University Press in 2022. His presentation for our Ides of March guests will draw from his recent research and insights.
Hosler received his bachelor’s and master’s in English and History from Iowa State University and went on to earn his Ph.D. in European History from the University of Delaware.
