junior docents program
Junior Docents is a program for young people ages 8 to 16. Participants will learn more about some aspect of the ancient world, see behind-the-scenes at the museum, and learn to research artifacts from the museum’s collection. Each year every Junior Docent will prepare a short presentation about one of the artifacts or a portion of the collection. The program runs from September through March.
Time commitment: Junior Docents will meet every Wednesday from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. during the school year. An evening exhibition is planned for the spring where all the Junior Docents can share what they have learned with the public.
There is no cost for the program, but space is limited. Contact Ana at aicarvalho@york.edu to get more information or to register your child.
